I figured we can look at these flowers without getting sick from them…. Dh use to like to give me flowers until he learned they made me sick.

Melissa,   Great idea!!  My DD sent me a lovely planting of cactus and succulents since she knows flowers get to me, too!

What a great idea Melissa-DH got me really ones-tulips-they are one of the few flowers that don’t kick off my asthma.  They weren’t for Mother’s Day-today was also our 23rd wedding anniversary.

Aww cute pic!!! Thank you, and Happy Mother's Day to all the awesome, hard-working, fun-loving moms on here!!!

How special is that!   home made cards are THE BEST.  I still have one that DH made me for valentines day when we were dating-he was working until 10 and didn't have time to get one so he made it and I wouldn't take anything for it.

Yes I agree– homemade are the best to get!!! (I like to make them too, but I have a long way to go to catch up to the elegance of yours, PLJohns– they are inspiring, I just love the pics of the ones you posted a while back).

Thank you-you are too kind-I don't have an artistic bone in my body-even my stick people are not recognizable but cards and scrapbooks I enjoy doing (doesn't take much ability to cut and glue!)

Lynn, I beg to differ! It takes a GREAT deal of talent and design ability to take separate pieces and put them together in an artistic arrangement! You have a definite eye and are quite the artist!

I got a wonderful note from my DD for Mother's Day … it made me cry! For a 16 YO to write me a thank you note for being a mom and all the ways I've helped her … that's a precious gift that I'm going to pull out and re-read on my bad days.

Cynthia,  Those are such wonderful keepsakes!!  I have a few and even years later they will bring a tear to my eye!

Lynn,  I concur with Cynthia.  You have a great deal of talent and patience to design and assemble those cards!
