We just went out to dinner tonight. It's DH's birthday, so we usually do something combined.DH just got home from China this morning but we did go for a bike ride together. My asthma is flared, so not sure if I'll be able to a ride tomorrow. I do need to hit the farmer's market and grocery shop tomorrow.

Happy mother's day to all the hard-working moms on here!!!! I have an evening gathering with the family planned tomorrow: games, tacos and a la carte Banana Splits. Everyone is bringing a topping (and ingredient labels four me to check four food allergens). I bought my mom a pool float and sunscreen (she likes to lay out in her pool), and made homemade cards with Tommy. Tommy and I may go four a morning walk on the beach. It was rainy and humid all day today and I am all mucousy and stuffed up and coughing and wheezy from it, so I am doing another neb before bed. Hopefully it will all clear away for tomorrow's mother's day!

OMG those drawings are awesome! I got a little teary because my kids are big and no longer draw me Spongebob cards!

Hope the neb helped and you can go for your walk.

I woke up to a vase of roses (thankfully, they are not a trigger for me ) and a goofy card from DH. He's off on his morning ride. I may try to get a short ride in later this afternoon.

Lol, I drew the spongebob card for my mom, and im 32! But, thats bc i dont work, so I have time to draw lol. Plus someone gave Tommy a " you can draw book" with the characters and I was showing him how it worked when I though of the idea for the mother's day card.

I felt well on mother's day. The morning of I cleaned the entire house, like deep cleaned, I was hunting dust bunnies like I was Elmer Fudd! It was my mothers day present to myself lol. I washed all the sheets and mattress covers. And my mom got me a hamper with a washable bag liner and a lid for my room, which I am happy about because my former one had no lid and I thought pollens and stuff on my clothes needed to be enclosed so they dont get in my bedroom air! I am determined to sanctify my room !!

DH did a very nice thing for me for my Mother's Day — he bought and planted tomatoes and bell pepper plants for me! And DD made me a rib eye steak dinner, with brownies and ice cream for dessert. It was a great Mother's Day!

Shea, I love the cards! That's some talented drawing you have there — you should share it on our !

That is great! I have a bell pepper plant and its just starting to get tiny green bell peppers on it. It is fun to watch them grow, I hope they don't get pests before they get big enough to pick! And that was very nice of them to make dinner and dessert ☺

I was up from 3:30 AM on, but it was a good Mothers day-bitter sweet in some aspects.  DH and the boys got me a new fitbit-my old one bit it and I refused to pay the price for a new one so they did.  Every Sunday afternoon for the last year, DS#2 and I go driving.  He will get his license next month so we go practice. Sometimes we drive for 2 hours and sometimes its 4 but it's time he and I can talk about anything and I wouldn't take it for all the world.  As we drove Sunday, he kept asking if I would like anything for lunch and then if I would like a milkshake-he kept saying "just anything Mom".  It's bittersweet that he is now old enough to think about things like that and it warmed my heart.    DH cooked me steak and pot for dinner and cards from all of them.  Super good day-

PLJohns, I have a Fitbit, too, and I love it! I hope I can get a couple more years out of it.

And I hear you on the driving … A couple of weeks ago (a bit more, I guess), I realized that I had less than 15 more trips to drive DD to school, because next year … she will be driving herself. I'm not one of those moms who want to keep their kids little forever (my mom was like that — not good!), but I do get that bittersweet feeling you talk about.
