Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. Our "festivities" kick off tonight. dd3 has a Monster Mash dance at her school. Tomorrow afternoon, I plan to take my kids to the pumpkin patch and then we'll work on carving the pumpkins (and roasting the seeds this afternoon). Monday morning, dd3 and ds have their Halloween parades at the same time (2 different schools), so dh and I will have to split coverage for those. As for actual trick or treating, dd1, stopped last year. DDs 2 and 3 have planned a map for their jaunts around the neighborhood. Usually, I take them trick or treating, while dh stays home to hand out candy. I *think* he mentioned that he would take them this year – probably has something to do with playing Pokemon Go while he's out and about. DS will only go to a few houses and come home before the girls do the main trick or treating (he has autism and doesn't really "get" the whole t or t thing).
Do you hand out candy or do you take kids out trick or treating? Any other Halloween-related plans?
