Giving Asthma Meds in Hospital Better than Giving Prescription

Very interesting…I know when we leave an appointment and have to get new prescriptions, it can be a struggle to pick them up. Even if the doc faxes them in, they aren't ready by the time we pass the pharmacy on the way home. Which means an extra trip out or a long wait at the store.

It appears cost and time are both factors.

Has anyone here received their asthma meds before leaving the hospital/drs office?  Did you find that helpful?
