yep-it's that time melissa-we have all had flu shots about a month ago so they should be in full effect now.  I ALWAYS keep extra asthma meds on hand and as soon as i was exposed to the flu (before i got my shot) i called the doc and got started on tamiflu.  Definitely don't want any part of it.

Yes, DH and I have had our flu shots.  Still trying to convince our grown children that they need to get theirs.

My DD and I got our flu shot a couple of weeks ago, so it should be at full effect. The article you posted about four things to know about flu if you asthma, is a great reminder for why it's important to keep your doc in the loop if you get sick. Thanks for sharing!!

I think people tend to forget how bad the flu can get….add in a chronic illness and things can get bad quickly.

I totally agree Melissa-unfortunately, that why so many land in the hospital and pass each year-the flu gets blown off like a cold

Yes, I got my flu shot. Honestly, there are many other viruses that can cause the same trouble and against which there's no vaccine… But I believe we have to prevent whatever we can.

Very good point Wheezy me, and so very true!

Who else needs to get their flu shot? Just a reminder it takes the flu shot two weeks to take full effect….

Have had mine-pulmo ask about it yesterday-I noticed on the CDC flu map that it's already in all 50 states and gaining speed. Some states have regional outbreaks already

It does seem that the flu is everywhere, which is why it is so important to get your flu shot now before traveling and celebrating the holidays. Need to give the flu shot time to be in full effect.

Don't forget to get your flu shot before traveling for the holidays! It takes the flu shot two weeks to be in full effect and it is crunch time!

CDC weekly flu map shows flu is on the rise on almost all 50 states.  PLEASE if you haven't already, get your flu shot now before we all share our germs with each other and all of the hugging over the holidays
