Fall weather – is it better or worse for your asthma?

Things have finally cooled off a bit where I am – MD.  We're talking low 70s/high 60s.  Makes being outside a little more tolerable, though it is a tad chilly in the mornings – have had to break out the hoodies!

So…how is everyone else doing with cooler temps?  Are you able to spend more time outside?

My lungs feel better … BUT I'm dreading this time of year because it's usually when DD's asthma will get kicked up a notch by a viral upper respiratory or sinus infection.

This year we're really trying to wash hands and keep good hygiene practices … fingers crossed!

I love the cooler weather… The heat and humidity in Florida makes it nearly impossible for me to enjoy the outdoors from May until Fall rolls around. My son and I started putting up our Halloween decorations yesterday, and it was nice out, I could breathe more comfortably. Today was nice goo, and since I am on 40mg prednisone, I had extra energy, so I cleaned my entire carport out (which houses toys and old projects and gardening stuff.. not my car.. So it was a big job) But… I did break out on my chest and neck, even though I showered right after cleaning the carport… Prob from sweeping up old leaves and spraying down everything… (I am guessing mold was the culprit, as I used green cleaning products). So, oops on irritating my allergies, but it had to be done, and I am sure my allergies will be better for it in the long run. It sure looks and feels nice out front my house now

It is starting to cool down a lot in MD.  Upper 30s when I woke up this morning.  Brrr.. Hopefully we will see our first frost soon (some areas in the western and northern parts of the state did get their first frost this morning).  I don't like that it's getting so chilly, but I am hopeful this will kill off the last of what is blooming and aggravating allergies.
