Dust mites on clothes …

A few members have talked about issues with dealing with clothes — stored clothes, I think, in @Rfinchertaylor's case and with @GigiGibson she's wondering if dust mites can gather on clothes that don't go through a typical laundry cycle — like a dry-clean only blazer.

I've had some issues with stored clothes, but I never connected it back to dust mites.

What about the rest of you? How do you store your clothes in the off season? Do you have any issues wearing them? Do you wash them before you wear them?

I wash before wearing. If it's dry clean only clothes. I put my mask on and take a damp cloth to them. If they bother me, I change (a girl needs a few options ).

I'll have to try the damp cloth! What a great idea!

I don't usually store a huge amount of clothes since our weather doesn't get that cold here in South Georgia, but I do have some heavy sweaters that I put away for those rare cold days. I'm wondering if I could figure out a way to use a pillow encasement on them to keep dust mites, etc. off them.

So for those of you who have clear cut seasons, it's almost getting to the time when you'll need to break out your spring clothes. Any advance plans on handling that? When do you put away your winter clothes and pull out your spring ones?
