Do nasal polyps complicate your allergy and asthma?

Hey, guys … a friend of mine mentioned nasal polyps to me today. Along with your asthma and/or allergies, do you deal with nasal polyps?

I had to do a quick Google dive for my friend — and I really am glad I have this support group. There's not a lot of really good solid support out there for folks with nasal polyps. I did find the .

My mom's nasal polyps complicated her asthma and allergies … hard to tell when one ended and the other began.

If you have nasal polyps, what's something that's helped? What treatments are out there? (Real treatments, not scams!)

Hey there and to be honest I have been wondering this lately. I have wondered if nasal polyps in my case is a factor. I haven't been able to breath out of my nose since when I was a little kid. I thought about it one time as obviously O breath through my mouth mostly and even when my nose is clear…it seems alien to me to use my nose. Thanks for proposing this question. I use the nasal (generic cant think of it atm) spray and it seems to help with sneezing and stuff. I know they said no point in removing them as they will grow back before. I've heard before that it's not healthy to be a mouth breather, it makes sense. Just something many of us have to go through. I just don't know if there are any solutions unfortunately

IA-TXFisherman, I think things have changed a great deal in just a few years … have you talked to an ENT or your allergist or pulmo? If they are interfering in your sleep, that could be a huge problem that's making things worse.

I'll ask my friend if she's found any resources that I can share with you!
